Joint Regional Planning Panels (Regional Panels) commenced on 1 July 2009 in five regions of NSW. View Panel Regions The Regional Panels are an important step in creating Australia’s best planning system.
These panels have been established to provide greater expertise and independence on regional planning issues. They provide merit-based decision-making and advice to the Minister on development proposals of regional significance.
The five Panels which commenced on 1 July 2009, cover the Northern, Hunter and Central Coast, Southern, Sydney East and Sydney West regions. A Western region Panel will commence soon.
